Spent six months working as a chef to gain a deeper understanding of kitchen operations and the dynamics behind delivering great service. I believe that having foundational knowledge across different roles within an industry leads to stronger decision-making and better results.
In my final year at Gaarden & Gaden, I worked as Restaurant Manager, with primary responsibilities including: curating and developing the wine list, driving wine sales, and leading the floor team with a results-oriented focus.
In the restaurant industry, each evening begins with a briefing. These taught me how to build effective plans, execute them under pressure, and stay agile when circumstances shift.
